The Golf Course Ranger is responsible for maintaining pace of play, enforcing golf course rules, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and professional golfing experience for all guests at Ayla. The role involves monitoring the course, assisting players with guidance and information, and coordinating Golf Operations to resolve issues. The Ranger also acts as an ambassador for Ayla, upholding service excellence while ensuring the course is presented in alignment with world-class golf standards
Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce course policies, rules, and etiquette to maintain a professional atmosphere.
- Monitor pace of play and take corrective actions when delays occur.
- Assist in implementing safety and operational guidelines across the golf course.
- Provide feedback to Golf Operations management on course conditions and guest concerns
- Maintain records of pace-of-play monitoring, incidents, and guest interactions.
- Complete daily activity logs and report any issues to the Golf Operations Supervisor.
- Assist in managing guest inquiries, complaints, and lost & found items.
- Patrol the golf course to monitor player conduct, safety, and adherence to rules.
- Assist players with directions, information, and guidance regarding course layout.
- Monitor carts and ensure players adhere to cart path and safety rules.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a guest-oriented mindset.
- Good knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and pace-of-play standards.
- Ability to handle conflict diplomatically and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Proficient in using communication devices (radios, mobile apps).
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
