The accountant is responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting activities. This role ensures compliance with internal controls and financial policies while contributing to the accuracy and integrity of Ayla’s financial operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing junior accounting staff and interns as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal financial controls
- Maintain and update financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Support the budgeting process and variance analysis tracking.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closings.
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Minimum of 1–3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or hospitality setting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
